Biography

Gay Colér-Hartley joined The Awad Law Firm, LLC in 2018 and became the Operations
Manager in 2021. Hartley is a seasoned professional with 30 plus years of paralegal
and executive assistant experience. A passionate manager focusing on exceptional
firm services.

 

Hartley’s has spent her entire career in the legal industry, a path that allows her to serve
others. Honored to work at a law firm which serves the community and assists people
from all walks of life. Watching strangers become clients, and clients become friends
and family, is an incredible blessing.
Beyond the legal arena, Hartley finds joy in her loving family, residing in Marietta with
her husband. They have two adult sons, a daughter-in-law and two granddaughters. In
her free time, she enjoys church activities, reading, and listening to jazz music.

A New Orleans, LA native, Hartley graduated from Grambling State University in 1984 with a BA Degree in Pre-Law Criminal Justice and an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement in 1983. She began her legal career working for the District Attorney’s Office for Jefferson Parish, Westbank, New Orleans, LA. Cobb County Deputy Sheriff Office, POST Certification. Several Metro-Atlanta Personal Injury Law Firms as a Licensed Private Investigator. Fulton County Indigent Defense office located in Fulton Co. Jail as a paralegal investigator. Fulton Co. Superior Court, Executive Assistant to the Late Judge, Josephine Holmes- Cook.
