Ibrahim Awad decided to become an attorney long before law school. As a high schooler, Mr. Awad was the cornerstone of his school’s mock trial team; leading them to their first Regional Championship in over a decade. After graduating near the top of his class, he attended Dalton State College and began working at the District Attorney’s Office in Whitfield County.
As an undergraduate, Mr. Awad assisted in the prosecution of over 100 felony cases, including more than a dozen child molestation jury trials, and a murder trial. After earning his Associate’s Degree in English from Dalton State College, Mr. Awad transferred to Kennesaw State University to continue his education and receive a Bachelor’s Degree in English; he graduated ‘Summa Cum Laude’.
After Kennesaw State, he attended Georgia State College of Law, where he furthered his real-life legal experience by interning at the Dekalb County Solicitor General’s Office. While there, Mr. Awad worked with the Special Victims Unit as well as other Trial Attorneys. He was also a member of the Student Trial Lawyers Association, where he competed in legal competitions in Buffalo, New York and Memphis, Tennessee. During his third year of law school, Mr. Awad interned at a private criminal defense firm and began defending clients with cases ranging from minor violations to serious infractions.
Ibrahim Awad graduated from law school and passed the bar on his first attempt. His early work with the government allowed him to witness the profound injustices experienced by those without proper legal representation. These experiences ignited a deep commitment to fight for the voiceless and protect individuals who have fallen victim to a system designed to favor the powerful.
Driven by a passion for the courtroom and a relentless pursuit of justice, Mr. Awad founded The Awad Law Firm—a firm now nationally recognized for its results in auto accident and personal injury law. Though it began as a firm also handling criminal defense matters, the practice has since honed its focus to helping injured individuals recover everything they are entitled to under the law.
To date, The Awad Law Firm has recovered over $50 million for clients across Georgia. Among the firm’s most high-profile successes was a $900,208.00 jury verdict in Cobb County—a jurisdiction widely considered challenging for plaintiffs. This verdict, which involved a disc herniation, was covered by Law.com for its significance and served as a testament to Mr. Awad’s ability to turn down unfair offers and win big when justice demands it.
In addition to his courtroom work, Mr. Awad is the founder of Awad Academy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to training personal injury attorneys in the art and science of trying cases and preserving case value. Through live trainings, detailed walkthroughs, and a community of legal professionals, Awad Academy helps attorneys nationwide refine their practice and maximize results for their clients.

Though the law is his passion, it was not Mr. Awad’s first love. In his free time, he loves practicing Martial Arts, and regularly competes in tournaments. In his Martial Arts career, Ibrahim has fought in over 250 tournaments across the Southeast; winning numerous competitions and accolades. Always the family man, Mr. Awad also loves visiting his parents and his five younger siblings. For him, what matters most is spending time with his family: his precious, daughters Jenna and Judy, his rambunctious son, Jamal, and his beautiful wife, Rawan.
